Clash of Cultures
Sunday 21 October 2001

In a unique global broadcast, Panorama joins up with BBC's Radio Five Live, World Service Radio and World TV to bring you an international debate on the present crisis.

With audiences in Islamabad and New York the programme looks at just how far this war is caused by a clash of civilisations.

David Dimbleby in London, Nisha Pillai in Islamabad and Nicky Campbell in New York test political leaders and the public on their views of the crisis.

Is the Muslim community right to regard the US as arrogant and imperialist? Are the two cultures so different that they cannot meet? Have the cultural differences been hijacked by the terrorists to fuel a new world war?

Production Team:
Presenter David Dimbleby, with Nisha Pillai and Nicky Campbell reporting from Islamabad and New York
Producer Alexandra Henderson
