Facebook has launched its first gambling app which will allow people to play games for cash prizes.

The social-networking giant said only its UK members aged 18 and over would be able to view the Bingo Friendzy app.

Also this week, US students can now rent expensive text books from Amazon by the semester and PC maker Acer has criticised Microsoft over its plans to enter the hardware market with its Surface tablets. Spencer Kelly reports.
