Google has added new panoramic images of Antarctica to Street View, making it possible to explore the South Pole from the comfort of your home.

Also this week, Microsoft has announced a redesigned version of the Office productivity suite and Skype has started rolling out updated software to deal with a bug that has sent copies of instant messages to unintended recipients.
