Apple reacts to apps harvesting controversy and other tech news

Apple will start making firms which develop apps seek explicit approval from their users before accessing their address book data.

The measure comes after it was reported that apps like Path, Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare can access the information.

And Iranians claim they have been seriously restricted from accessing email and social networking sites in the last few days.
