Mr Brown with the prime minister at a factory in Cheshire on Monday |
Tony Blair and the Chancellor Gordon Brown will once again combine their political might to attack the Conservatives' spending plans today.
The Conservatives say their proposals for more police officers, tighter immigration controls and lower taxes will come through a reduction in waste bureaucracy.
On Monday, the prime minister and Mr Brown joined forces for a visit to a glass factory in Cheshire and the Airbus factory at Broughton, Flintshire.
Meanwhile, the Liberal Democrat party has put plans to launch its manifesto today on hold after leader Charles Kennedy's wife Sarah, gave birth to their first child.
Donald James Kennedy was born at 1214 at St Thomas' Hospital in London, weighing six pounds nine ounces.
On Breakfast today:
Declan Curry was in Gravesend on the latest leg of his election rally, and today he has Europe in his sights
In today's report, Declan took the ferry to France and caught up with some passengers. He asked for their views on Europe.
And he met a French restaurant owner - she said she hadn't found the transition to the Euro that much of a problem, and from a business point of view, it made things easier.
Back in England, Declan spoke to Mark Gill from MORI.
