Let battle commence
Dermot Murnaghan presents Breakfast in Bristol
We kicked off the Breakfast election campaign in Bristol
After months of anticipation, the general election campaign is finally under way.

This is your chance to give the politicians your verdict on their performance.

And, here on the Breakfast website, we want to find out what really matters to you.

This morning, we heard from the three main parties. You can watch full recordings of our interviews by clicking on the right hand side of this story.

But for much of the campaign, Breakfast is waving goodbye to the Westminster village.

  • We've adopted one constituency - Bristol West

Bristol West: a three way marginal

It's a seat which Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats all hope they can win on May 5.

We will be following all the big issues as they affect the area. See whether what matters in Bristol, matters where you live, too.

Dermot Murnaghan set the scene this morning - with a portrait of the once-safe Conservative seat, which went Labour in 1997.

  • We've hired our own mini battle-bus

    Declan Curry
Declan takes to the road - on three wheels

It's actually a motorbike and side-car. And we'll be sending our business presenter Declan Curry out on the road to see what issues people really care about, around Britain.

Declan sets off, from the National Motorbike Museum in Solihull, Birmingham on Wednesday morning.

Over the coming weeks, he'll be snaking the length and breadth of the UK.

From Exeter to Dover, Middlesbrough to Glasgow, Declan will be getting to the heart of the matter on issues as diverse as rural living, old age, public health and violent crime.

  • We've recruited our own panel of video voters, who'll be giving their instant reaction to each twist and turn in the campaign.

Using 3G technology, our panel of video voters will give us their reactions as the issues unfold.

We began this morning by finding out a little about some of our panel members - and what their views are now.
