Colonel Gaddafi has had a face to face meeting with the Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset al-Megrahi. The Libyan leader praised the Scottish authorities for what he called their "courage" to release him from jail.
Earlier, Britain and the United States rebuked Libya after Megrahi received a jubilant welcome when he got off the plane in Tripoli - Washington described the images as "disgusting".
