Union critical of monitoring plan
Suggestions that private companies should become more involved in running services in Jersey have been criticised by the island's biggest union.

Senator Jim Perchard wants the island's Strategic Plan to introduce monitoring to evaluate whether public services give taxpayers value for money.

But the Transport and General Workers' Union said public services have been monitored for some time.

Nick Corbel said islanders get quality public services and value for money.
