An ambitious programme of social improvement aimed at making Jersey a better place to live has been unveiled by the Council of Ministers. The council says it wants to bring in a range of measures to tackle anti-social behaviour and inequality.
The plan will go through a period of public consultation and be debated by the States in June.
The Chief Minister Senator Frank Walker says Jersey has a secure economic base and the benefits should be shared.
The States strategic plan contains six core commitments.
The Council says it wants to a promote a safe, just and fair society; enhance the natural and built environment; create a strong, identity for Jersey and ensure efficient high quality States services.
The plan also aims to maintain a strong, and sustainable economy and ensure a high quality of life for all islanders.
