Concerns over nursing agreement
Nurses in Jersey are being urged to go to a union meeting next week to discuss changes to the way they work.

Unions claim they have been misled over the changes and the Royal College of Nursing and Jersey Nursing Association say morale is at an all-time low.

But the director of nursing and operations at the General Hospital said she is waiting to hear from the unions.

Lynne Swiatczak said the hospital was already working on a joint agreement with the unions.

"If nursing morale is low, then that is everyone's business and not just mine," she said.

"Similarly, I have nurses who come to see me and expect me to represent them and want the job family agreement in place.

"Nurses are losing money while this job family agreement isn't implemented and frankly they're as concerned as I am."
