Childhood centre in name search
Building Blocks
Many youth and parenting services will work together
A new centre made up of professionals, charities and agencies working with families and children in Jersey is trying to find itself a name.

Groups such as the Jersey Childcare Trust, Jersey Autism and Housing will all be based at the integrated centre at the former St Mark's School site.

It opens on 4 January 2006 but islanders are being asked to come up with a name for the centre.

The prize includes beauty treatments, a meal, cinema and swimming pool tickets.

The closing date for suggestions is 15 December.

The centre, aimed at children under 12, will have speech and language therapy service and a creche.

Youth workers, the family nursing service and adult education will also be represented.
