Tourism deputy is to stand down
The politician in charge of tourism in Jersey has announced he will not be standing in this Autumn's senatorial or deputies elections.

Deputy Lyndon Farnham is stepping down after six years in the States.

He says that instead he will be focusing on his business and family commitments in the future.

He says he would not have been able to balance those commitments with the workload States members will have under the new system of government.

The 2005 senatorial election will be on 19 October and the election for deputies will be on 23 November.
