Portuguese food fair may be saved
Jersey's Portuguese Food Fair may take place after all.

The Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft, says he is prepared to help organisers find a new location after difficulties securing the Waterfront.

The food fair had appeared to be in jeopardy after dwindling stall numbers and location problems.

Constable Crowcroft is considering either the Royal Square or the abattoir site being used for this year's fair -celebrating its 20th anniversary.

He believes a new location will have a positive effect for town shops and says the issue of cost could be covered by sponsorship.
