This year's Portuguese food fair in Jersey may not go ahead. Dwindling stall numbers and problems with securing a Waterfront location could put paid to the event.
The fair is an opportunity for Jersey's substantial Portuguese community to showcase the best of Portuguese cuisine and musical talent.
A few years ago organisers could count on at least 20 stallholders taking part but last year, that figure had dropped to 11.
So the Waterfront may now be too big for such a small number.
The chairman of the Jersey Portuguese Week, Jose Rodrigues Milho, wants to move the fair elsewhere, perhaps to the nearby abattoir site or the Royal Square.
He says unless authorities agree to a change in location there may not be a food fair this year - the 20th anniversary of the event.
