Jersey holiday boost
Two thirds of tourists visiting Jersey say they want to come back for another visit says a survey of people leaving the island.

The survey looked at how visitors arrived in the island, and what they thought of the costs while they were here.

Research company Direct Input spoke to 275 groups and individuals in August and September last year as they left from the harbours or the airport.

More than half of them said they had used low cost flights to get to Jersey, and a quarter of them bought their tickets over the internet.

Half the tourists asked stayed for less than five days, with people staying longer in August than in September.

The most popular attraction to visit was Jersey Zoo, which most tourists said was good value for money.

A quarter of tourists thought travel to the island was too expensive, while 40% of them thought it was good value for money.
