Anti-social drinkers face pub ban
Police arrest a yob
Persistent offenders could face electronic tagging
Anti-social drinkers in Guernsey face being banned from licensed premises and put under curfew if new laws due before the States in June are passed.

Home Minister Mike Torode said a raft of legislation was being prepared.

He said it was designed to give courts and police greater powers to prevent and punish alcohol-fuelled crime.

He said: "The new draft law will propose extending powers so persistent offenders can be banned by the court from going into licensed premises."

He said that if the law is passed it will be easier to put people under curfew.

"In some cases that could mean an electronic curfew through the use of tagging," he added.
