Anti-smoking marchers lose puff
Only 50 demonstrators joined a march in Guernsey to protest against a ban on smoking in public places.

The turnout disappointed organisers Support our Smokers, who had hoped the marchers would number at least 1,000.

The ban was passed earlier this year, but uncertainties remain over which premises will be exempt.

St Peter Deputy Barry Brehaut claims Support our Smokers leader Peter Leigh's failed bid to become a deputy shows most islanders accept the ban.
