Troublesome lights under repair
Engineers in Guernsey are working on emergency repairs to a new set of traffic lights.

The lights at Les Banques, on the junction outside Admiral Park, were activated last Monday evening.

But they had to be turned off only hours later because of long tailbacks they caused.

Engineers later discovered it was due to a software fault. If repair work is successful, they will be reactivated on Sunday afternoon or on Monday.

The signals have been installed for a trial period of a year to control cars travelling along the waterfront.
