Drivers face more detours
Roadworks are continuing to affect residents in Guernsey along Les Bas Courtils Road.

With a complete closure of the area from 1600 to midnight for the next nine evenings, the residents are putting up with a lot of inconvenience to their daily routines.

Peter Bougourd, President of the Public Thoroughfares Committee, said he was pleased with people's understanding about the vital work that is being carried out on the section of road in St Sampsons.

But he warned there were plans for more roadworks along the seafront.

He said: "We are going to have to work our way all along the front.

"And we will have to put in similar restrictions at St George's Parade.

"It requires an awful lot of organisation."
