| Politicians in Alderney are due to discuss a �4m project to refurbish the Commercial Quay. The proposal to renovate the quay was approved in principal by Guernsey's States in 2003. At Wednesday's meeting, Alderney politicians will be asked to give final assent to the project and to the expected cost. Guernsey's deputies will be asked to agree to pay for the work at their meeting later in January.
