Nominations for president open

The election of States president will be held on 20 November
Nominations have opened for the next president of Alderney's States.

People who have been resident in the island for 36 months and are on the island's electoral roll can apply to be elected for the position.

Anyone who is interested has to fill in a form, available from the Clerk at the States' Office, and the candidate must be proposed and seconded.

Nominations close at 4pm on 9 November. The election is on 20 November.

The States of Alderney (the Legislature) consists of a President and 10 States Members, all unpaid.
