Hospital charity proves popular
Great Ormond Street Hospital
Money is being raised by young and old alike
People living in Guernsey have taken the Home from Home Guernsey GOSH Appeal to their hearts.

The aim of the appeal is to raise 500,000 to fund a floor at the Patients' Hotel, opposite Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (GOSH).

The money will be used to construct and furnish an entire Guernsey floor.

The accommodation will enable Guernsey parents to stay in the UK whilst their children are receiving treatment at the world famous hospital.

The appeal's chairman, Jurat David Lowe, said he was amazed and encouraged by the help received so far.

He said: "All the schools are really getting behind us, because it's children helping children.

"Then we go right to the other end of the spectrum.

"We've got an event coming up shortly which is called Grammys for GOSH.

"That's slightly older people all getting together and raising money."
