A leading Jersey politician is to join a campaign to boycott companies that are part of CI Traders.

Senator Ted Vibert and a number of other politicians will join an anti-deal protest in St Helier on Saturday.

Protesters are urging people to stop doing business with CI Traders, which has a stake in Les Pas Holdings.

The Policy and Resources Committee is proposing to transfer land worth 10m to Les Pas in return for the company dropping its legal claim to ownership of the St Helier foreshore

The States is meeting in secret next week over the issue and is expected to make a decision by 30 September.
