'Stark' Waterfront proves popular
Waterfront development
Jersey's most senior politician has said he does not like the look of the Waterfront development.

But the president of Policy and Resources, Senator Frank Walker, also said everyone should reserve their judgment until the project is finished.

The public perception that the development is an ugly failure is wrong, he said.

He also said the Waterfront was proving hugely popular to thousands of Jersey people and visitors.

Senator Walker said the complex viewed from the road is "utilitarian" and "stark".

He said: "I'm disappointed in the way it looks, but the development isn't finished and people should reserve judgment until then."
