Shia LaBeouf says he has no understanding of the financial world |
Transformers star Shia LaBeouf has confirmed he will appear in Oliver Stone's follow up to the 1987 movie Wall Street. The 22-year-old will star opposite veteran actor Michael Douglas, who won an Oscar for his role in the original film, in Money Never Sleeps. LaBeouf has described the film as "a walk and talk money movie" that is both "wordy and heady". Filming on the financial thriller is expected to begin in August. LaBeouf revealed he had "no concept" of the-ins and-outs of the financial world. "I don't know what a credit derivative is," he said. "I have no idea. I don't know what a CPO is. IPB. LVC. You got to know ticker names." A ticker name is the abbreviation used to represent a company on the stock market. In the UK, for example, Tesco is referred to as TSCO. LaBeouf's next movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is released 19 June.
