Two charged in LaBeouf accident

As well as Indiana Jones, LaBeouf also starred in last year's Transformers

Two people involved in an accident with actor Shia LaBeouf have been charged with giving false information.

Kimberly Bent, 21, told police she was driving at the time of the crash, but investigators suspect Herbert Simon, 22, was at the wheel.

The Indiana Jones star's hand was injured in the accident which took place in Hollywood in July.

Drink-driving charges against Mr LaBeouf were dropped, but he may face action for refusing to be breathalysed.

Confident

Los Angeles County District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison said there was "insufficient evidence" to charge the 22-year-old with drink-driving.

Days after the collision, detectives established the other driver involved in the accident passed through a red light.

Mr LaBeouf's lawyer, Michael Norris, has said that he is confident that the actor will not lose his driving licence, despite a pending traffic hearing.

The actor, who also starred in Transformers, underwent a four-hour operation after the crash to repair damage to a "crushed" hand.
