Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross, who is expecting twins, is to film scenes for the hit show in her own home after being ordered to rest by doctors. Downstairs rooms in her house will be turned into a TV set for two days as she finishes shooting the third series.
Cross's character, uptight home-maker Bree Van de Kamp, is not pregnant and has been written out of later episodes.
A spokeswoman for the 44-year-old actress said she had been confined to her home as a "precautionary measure".
Cross got engaged to stockbroker Tom Mahoney in 2005 and the couple married in June last year.
Changing rooms
They only moved into their west Los Angeles home a couple of months ago.
"They are painting the walls, moving in props and furniture from the set," a source from the show told TV Guide magazine, which first reported the story.
"They're basically making Marcia's house into Bree's."
Cross has won a string of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role in the programme, which is shown on Channel 4 in the UK.
