The actress who plays ex-model Gabrielle Solis in the hit show slipped on the stairs to her trailer, her publicist Liza Anderson said.

"Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised," she added.

The 31-year-old is not expected to need time off. Longoria was taken to hospital last year after being hit on the head by a falling pole on location.

She was not seriously hurt and filming was not delayed.
