Comedy show Little Britain has won three BAFTA awards Enlarge Image

The BBC comedy duo appeared at the London attraction in character with the wax incarnations of their popular comic creations Lou and Andy.

When asked if he liked his waxwork double, Lucas replied as the monosyllabic wheelchair-bound Andy and said: "I don't like it."

The sculptors used a real mould to make carer Lou's revolting teeth.

Visitors will be treated to some of the duo's trademark conversations, recorded by their creators, such as Lou asking Andy: "Would you like to take any of these waxworks home Andy?"

Andy then replies: "Yeah I want that one, that one, that one, that one."

The comedians attended sittings with the sculptors. The waxworks cost �100,000 each and took around three months to create.

Public demand

A Madame Tussauds spokeswoman said staff were nervous about the real stars meeting their doubles in case they hated them.

"It's always very nerve-wracking when the real people come face to face with the waxworks for the first time," she said.

"But both boys seem delighted so we are absolutely thrilled."

She added that visitors had previously said they most wanted to see Little Britain characters added to the collection.

In January, Walliams and Lucas were named the most powerful people in TV comedy in a poll by listings magazine Radio Times.
