Actor Vincent Pastore, who appeared in TV series The Sopranos, has agreed to plead guilty to a charge that he attempted to assault an ex-girlfriend. Mr Pastore, 59, who played Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero in the US show, allegedly attacked Lisa Regina, 44, during an argument in April.
If approved by a judge, the plea bargain would require Mr Pastore to perform community service for 10 days.
Leaving Manhattan Criminal Court, Mr Pastore said: "I want this to go away."
The actor, who recently had emergency triple bypass heart surgery, added: "What do you think, I want to die of a heart attack?"
Mr Pastore appeared in The Sopranos from 1999 to 2000. He also starred as Zach in Guy Ritchie's latest movie Revolver.
If convicted on all charges, Mr Pastore would face up to a year in jail. His plea bargain is expected to be finalised in November.
