Peter is latest Academy eviction
Peter Brame
Peter developed a unique Indie style
Peter Brame, hailed as the rock star of Fame Academy II, has been voted off the television show.

The 24-year-old from Colchester lost out - in a vote by his fellow students - to close friend Carolynne Good.

Both Alistair Griffin and Alex Parks, who made it through to the last week of the academy thanks to the public's vote, threw their weight behind Carolynne.

Peter sang his version of the Beatles' classic Something but failed to sufficiently impress the judges.

Head teacher Richard Park felt it did not display the best of his singing abilities and branded it "out of tune".

Carolynne, a 22-year-old from Leeds, was left in tears as Peter waved goodbye.

The pair seemed to enjoy singing together as they dueted on I Only Want To Be With You earlier in the show.

Alex, who is the bookies' favourite to win, had already performed this week after winning a Radio 1 vote to sing on Top of the Pops.

On Saturday's show, she teamed up with Alistair to belt out Everybody's Talking.

The remaining three have just one week left to work on their technique for the final sing-out.

The winner receives a one-year recording contract with Polydor and a 12-month showbiz lifestyle, including a luxury flat and a sports car.

Fame Academy II began on 26 July, when an average of 4.9 million viewers watched the two live shows.
