US diplomacy key in 'new era'

The new US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been met by crowds of staff on her first official day in the job.

Mrs Clinton said it was "a new era" for American diplomacy, a statement backed by President Obama's appointment of two key envoys - to the Middle East, and to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
