Age: 22
Lives: Lusaka
Job: Student

I am so excited but again I am scared as it is the first time I'll be taking part in my country's voting process.

The choice I make will be a sacrifice for myself, my family and my future children because any decision I make right now will affect what is to come.

I think right now we need someone who is able to make good policies and so far Michael Sata has proven to be good enough for me.

The others have not convinced me enough to give them my vote.

Patriotic Front Presidential candidate, Michael Sata gestures to supporters during a political rally
He cultivates a rough image but he's truly concerned about people's suffering - perhaps that's what makes him charismatic

The reason why I am going to vote for Mr Sata and his Patriotic Front party is because he has said he will lower taxes and bring more money into the pockets of those that are working.

He will improve the health sector and is also promising to do something about improving education - a lot of people in Zambia are not very educated and we only have one university.

Michael Sata says that he will give us more.

Of all the presidential candidates he has been the one most prominent on the radio and television.

ZAMBIAN VOTERS' VIEWS

I haven't been to any of the rallies myself but I have heard them on the radio.

He presented his manifesto last Thursday and he impressed me. That was when I made up my mind about who to vote for.

Now, I can't wait to go and cast my vote.
