Adventures of Seani B

Asylum is the madhouse it's always been. On entering the venue I saw ladies being spun from all angles and being bounced off the ceiling - I knew I was in for a good night. Did it live up to what we did two years ago? I'll leave that up to you guys when you hear the event on Saturday night. Knowing that we had an early start the next day I left at about 4.30am, leaving the rest of the 1Xtra crew partying till the end.

To my astonishment Robbo Ranx beat me to the breakfast table and if you know Robbo you know that's no mean feat. My first link of the day was at poolside with the younger members of the Red Square (Assassin and Spragga Benz's crew). Greg Heinz, Briggy Benz and Sugar Slick treated the guests at the Pegasus hotel to an impromptu poolside performance.

The sun was blazing once we hit road which didn't help due to my lack of sleep - but the work had to be done. Uche, my assistant for the day, messed up the situation further as he drew plenty of unwanted atttention by getting the BBC mics out in the middle of Halfway tree (a busy midtown shopping are).

Once we got to our destination at a mix CD vendors we got a frosty reception, due to the fact that the police are locking down the CD bootlegging in Kingston. Aquarius Records, one of my favourite haunts, was our next stop off. Due to my recent transition to CD juggling this was the first time I didn't spend a penny in a record shop - my bank manager will be happy 'bout that. One of my recent productions, Sun is Shining 2005 remix, was selling quite well too.

Whilst in the shop we got the phone call to link with the real big man, Don Corleone - the man responsible for the Drop Leaf, Mad Guitar and Junkanoo riddims. So we rushed over to uptown Kingston to discover 'im gawn. I think he's gonna be harder to find than Bin Laden, but we've got top police on the case (that's for real)!!

We decided to head over to Shaggy's Big Yard studio in the rush hour traffic to interview Shane Brown - producer of Jukebox Records. Big Yard is the shizzle - very plush, kitted out studios that reflect Shaggy's diamond record sales. Take a look for yourself. Robbo will be doing his show live from here on Thursday. We got Shane's brand new riddim, the Tapdance, and the promise of unlimited acapellas. I have no shame to beg when it comes to music.

As the night was closing I was hunting another 'terror suspect', Scatta, who had slipped through the net on Tuesday whilst I was at his studio. With my SWAT team in place there was no escaping. It's always good to talk to Mr Coolie Dance and if it wasn't for my stomach rumbling we would still be talking now.

Robbo's off to Weddy Weddy Wednesday, but for me it's Beddy Beddy Wednesday. Tomorrow's a big day with the first live broadcast from Jamaica with Robbo Ranx.
