Previous dayMy last day in Jamaica so I couldn't start it off without my last big Jamaican breakfast. Guess
what was on the menu - escoveitched fish.
It was going to be another busy day. I suddenly realised I hadn't seen any of my family since
I've been here. To avoid getting licks, I made a flying trip to Saint Elizabeth to catch up with the
fam before getting ready for my final show tonight. It was going to be one of those days as I had to
pack early to make sure I caught my flight straight after the show.
I'd got some great interviews this week and the Big Yard shows went well - the hotel guests
seemed to like the one drop tunes we were playing. I wish I could do all my shows from the side of a
pool (will have to have a chat with the bossman).
As soon as we were off air we scrambled together my records and luggage and made a mad dash to
the airport. I've just heard it's foggy and raining back in England - hmmm, I wonder if I if I can
miss this flight??
It's been an incredible week but another seven days would be nice! If you hear the sound of waves
crashing on the beach in the background of Thursday's show - you'll know why!!
Hopefully we can do this again soon. Thanx to all the team for pulling together to make this
great week of radio from the Rock.
Bless Robbo Ranx - 28 March 05
