Easter in JA
Robbo pauses for some food for thought
Robbo Ranx's runnins

In the UK I never do 6am wake-ups but the Jamaican sun rises pretty early this side of Kingston. Being the first full day of interviews we started pretty early with a lunchtime call at Stone Love's HQ. Being Jamaica's busiest sound system, the court yard is always full of artists passing through to drop off their latest tracks. Anthony B was on the top of my list for an interview but first I had to deal with a freshly fried doctor fish courtesy of Kirk, who provides all of the studios in Kingston with food. When artists are around the studios it's always a good time to rush them for a dubplate special. Tony Matterhorn was also on a dub hunting mission so we both made use of his laptop for some fresh Anthony B flames.

As night fell we made our way to Washington Boulevard in North Kingston to catch up with a very busy Luciano. He is always a difficult person to catch up with as he tours extensively with his band, but it was worth the wait as Luciano is one of the most hospitable artists in the business. He took us on the roof of his building to do the interview. Luciano told us how he was grateful for the resurgance of conscious roots reggae internationally. He also told us that he has been very busy voicing dubplates for loads of sound systems - and we'll be watching closely for the outconme of the UK Cupclash next month. Naturally I had to get my exclusives too. So it was then back to base camp to get ready to head down to Ladies Night at Asylum. Tuesday night at Asylum is always busy as the ladies come out in force to hear the latest tunes and dance the latest dances. Check back tomorrow to see how the night went down.
