This category includes the islands across the Pacific other than Australia and New Zealand: Caroline Islands, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Western Samoa.

Just a handful of people born in these areas � 5,600 � live in Britain, with the largest cluster in Leicester, numbering 220 or so people in 2001.

However, a closer look at areas related to the British Army's infantry - Catterick and Salisbury Plain for instance - show clusters of Pacific Islanders, indicating the history of recruitment from the other side of the world.
