The story of those born in Cyprus is complex, driven by the conflict there between its Turkish and Greek-speaking areas. Cypriot-born people are among the few nationalities which recorded a decrease between 1991 and 2001, a fall of 1,000 people. Generally speaking, clusters of people born in Cyprus mirror the story for Turkish-born people in north London.
