By 2007 a regenerated St Pancras station in north London will be the UK hub of Eurostar services, replacing the terminus at Waterloo.

The original platforms are having to be lengthened to accommodate the huge Eurostar passenger trains.

Once the high-speed track is fully operational journey times to Paris should be cut by 20 minutes to two hours and 15 minutes.
