Jimmy Deuchars (left), 60, from Glasgow founded support group Grandparents Apart after his daughter died and he lost access to his two grandchildren.

"When grandparents are denied contact to their grandchildren, they feel lost, alone and confused. They often feel they have done something wrong," he said.

"My wife and I didn�t want anyone else going through that situation to feel as isolated as we did."
