Industrial action by refuse collectors in Jersey has led to residents' bins not being emptied. Authorities said long-term sickness had created some staffing problems.
The strike has been taken by employees not normally required to work on collection rounds, who have been relocated to help with the refuse.
Seven rounds were affected and residents whose bins were not emptied have been asked to contact the States Municipal Service Department.
Spokesman Tony Andrews said employees were concerned the parish was not filling vacant positions with temporary staff quickly enough, meaning they have not been able carry out their normal duties.
