Stephen Joseph, Director of Transport 2000 believes we should use public transport more and cars less. Paul Watters, Public Policy Adviser for the AA says for many people the car is their only transport option. But Sue Tibballs, Project Director for think-tank the Future Foundation says we need a better understanding of why people choose different modes of transport before we can un-gridlock the country. Is congestion charging the answer? Should we invest more in public transport? How will technology affect traffic jams?
