Ashlene Nand
Ashlene Nand is an entertainment marketing executive and music journalist from Sydney, Australia, currently residing in New York City.

In 1998, Ashlene founded Australia's first South Asian youth website HotAshes.com.au.

Discovering a passion for Hip-Hop early on, Ashlene moved into urban music by promoting tours and writing for a number of national publications in Australia.

After moving to New York City, she became the US correspondent for Urban Hitz. She also became a senior writer for the Hip-Hop website, Allhiphop.com.

In 2005 Ashlene created Bollyhood Records and released the world?s first completely original Indian and Urban fusion album titled Bhood.

The album includes collaborations from Indian, Hip-Hop and R&B artists such as UK Bhangra group RDB alongside Dancehall legend Elephant Man.

Shortly after the release, Ashlene was hired to consult as an A&R for Nike's RockStar Workout Far East Funk.
