Tension is still high in Ivory Coast as the United Nations alleges that Laurent Gbagbo's government is violating an international arms embargo.

Pro-Gbagbo forces have been battling rebels allied to his presidential rival, Alassane Ouattara near the border with Liberia and clashes in Abidjan have entered their second week.

The humanitarian crisis is steadily building and according to the international organisation for migration, nearly 130,000 people are now displaced within and across the borders of Ivory coast.

The fighting in Abidjan has caused many casualties as journalist Pauline Bax found out when she visited a hospital in the city.
