| Pagan Pride Day UK 2003 When: SUNDAY 21 September from 1600 BST through 2000 BST Where: Avebury Circle, Avebury, Wiltshire PAGAN PRIDE DAY takes place in ten countries at the Autumnal Equinox and was founded in North America in 1998. This is Britain's third annual PPD event. According to Cerridwen (the Southampton Witch who performed the Blessing at Southampton FootBall Club's new stadium and removed the "curse" on the Millenium Stadium south dressing-room) the purpose behind the day is quite simple. "Pagan Pride Day provides the opportunity for Pagans and non-Pagans from all parts of the UK to meet face to face and discover that Pagans are people just like everyone else. "The celebrations provide an opportunity for Pagans to openly meet each other and share experiences, food, and celebration of The Autumnal Equinox at a British sacred site, which this year happens to be Avebury. "It also allows a chance for non-Pagans to meet 'real live Pagans' and in a positive party atmosphere." Cerridwen adds: "I was overwhelmed by the warm response from thousands of non-Pagans who told me they think Pagans and witches are "OK" after seeing my Blessing of St. Mary's Stadium, especially when SFC began suddenly winning home games. A similar response followed the Millenium Stadium DressingRoom Blessing, with similar instant results for the teams using it."
