The west lateral tunnel...

Moving into the central core of Silbury Hill, and off to the left, is the west lateral tunnel which disappears off for about 20 metres or so...

To move around the image click the left mouse button and hold down whilst dragging the mouse around. To zoom in press A & to zoom out press Z.

I have been driving past silbury hill for about 35 years and I have never seen it in such a state,Ithought they were supposed to be stabalising it be there is a major collapse on the front and the rest is in a sorry state.

Very interesting and a great pity that the tunnel is being filled in when it could easily be retained with with concrete lining!
