UNDER 13’S LEAGUE CUP

Home side Chippenham Town Youth bagged nine goals with just two replies from Castle Combe Colts Black to book their place in the next round of this season’s cup.

Bradford Town Youth earned their place in the next round after running out 6-1 winners away to FC Chippenham B. Gabriel Nathan (2), Robin Aldridge (2), Ben Sessions and Oliver Stacey scored for Bradford.

Other results saw Melksham Town Youth A run out 3-1 winners away to FC Chippenham A; Trowbridge Town Youth A run out 12-0 winners away to Castle Combe Colts White; and Trowbridge Wanderers A run out 7-0 winners away to local rivals Trowbridge Town Youth B.

UNDER 14’S LEAGUE CUP
Castle Combe Colts took a 1-0 first half lead against home side Melksham Park. Combe took their lead to 2-0 then held out until the last three minutes when Park not only equalised but netted three to steal the game at the death. Ben Howe and Josh Williams (2) scored for Park.

UNDER 9’S BLUE DIVISION

Devizes Town Youth played exceptionally well against Chippenham Town Youth despite losing their keeper within minutes of the start due to severe stomach pains which resulted in a trip to hospital . Two good goals again from John Jones and singles from William Bisset and Jake Hillier secured Devizes first win of the season. Chippenham scored a late consolation goal which reserve keeper John Bramwell was unable to keep out.

UNDER 9’S GREEN DIVISION

White Horse Dynamos move one point clear at the top of the table following their 5-0 away win against Bradford Town Youth White’s. Jake Brand (2), Thomas Hatton (2) and Joshua Morgan-Williams scored for the Dynamos.

Westbury Youth took a 1-0 lead at the break against home side Melksham Park. Nathan Drew cancelled out Westbury’s lead to finish the game level at 1-1.

UNDER 9’S RED DIVISION

Bromham earned their second win of the season after running out 7-1 winners at home to Warminster Highbury. Bromham saw goals from Ryan Bole (2), Joe Tinnion (2), Charlie Pullen, Oliver Taylor and Joshua Bond.

Devizes Town Youth proved too strong for visitors FC Chippenham running out 11-0 winners with goals from Tommy Joyce (7), Harry Trusler, Harry Easton, Tim Lawes and Aaron Heywood.

UNDER 9’S YELLOW DIVISION

In freezing conditions both Melksham Park and visitors White Horse Flames played excellent football. Melksham scored first at the stroke of half time to lead 1-0 then doubled their lead shortly after the re-start. White Horse did not give up and there persistence paid off with two well taken goals from Chris Halliday. Melksham saw goals from Tom Jones and Charlie Jones. Both teams could have won but a point for each side was a fair result.

The best performance of the season so far saw Trowbridge Jaguars defeat Larkhall Athletic with a superb defensive display from Jodi Meaden, Kieran Gumm and Peter Ash. The match was extremely close with some excellent football from both sides, the game was however decided by a superb goal scored mid-way through the second half by Trowbridge’s Luke Petty.

Trowbridge Wanderers move up into third place following their 11-0 away win against FC Chippenham.

UNDER 10’S BLUE DIVISION

Trowbridge Town Tigers started the game the better and were soon putting Larkhall Falcons under pressure but could not capitalise on their possession. Larkhall soon found their feet and took the lead through a well headed goal by Ollie Noad. Trowbridge increased their work rate and had several chances but were either just wide or denied by some superb goal keeping. In the second half Trowbridge continued to dominate and were finally rewarded for all their efforts when Elliott Hughes evened the scores. Trowbridge continued to push for the winner but again could not find a way past a resolute defence and excellent goal keeper. Larkhall scored the winner with another good header this time from Harry Andrews. A good match played in a good spirit and enjoyed by all the spectators.

Trowbridge Town Cougars gained revenge over FC Chippenham with an awesome display that saw Trowbridge dominate with some clinical finishing in the second half. Leon Greenland opened the scoring for Trowbridge after five minutes before Chippenham made it 1-1 at the interval. Trowbridge substitute Jack Whiting made an immediate impact beating four players before scoring. Further goals from Jamie Mortimer and Tom Oakley saw Trowbridge eventual 4-1 winners.

UNDER 10’S GREEN DIVISION

Castle Combe Colts held there own for the first twenty minutes against an attacking Trowbridge Wanderers but could not get the ball in the net. Once Wanderers scored heads went down and wanderers eventually ran out comfortable 3-0 winners with goals from Billy Bartlett (2) and Jordan McNeil.

Chippenham Town Rangers went close to earning their first win of the season after their closely fought game against visitors Warminster Highbury which saw Highbury run out 4-3 winners. Dominic Staples-Preston scored all three goals for Rangers.

UNDER 10’S ORANGE DIVISION
The mid-table clash between Warminster Juniors and visitors White Horse Juniors Sports saw an even first half with Warminster edging ahead at 1-0. After the break Warminster stepped up the pressure netting a further four with one reply to finish 5-1 winners. Warminster saw goals from Conner Maxwell, Sam Roberts, Cameron Alladice and two own goals with Matthew Dempster replying for White Horse.

Derry Hill United move up into second place after running out 4-0 winners at home to FC Chippenham.

Devizes Town Youth dominated their home game against Team Bath Arsenal taking a 9-0 lead at the break before going on to finish 14-0 winners. Andrew Williams (5), Brian Emslie (5), Ben Cole (2), Robin White and Harry Dodds all scored for Devizes.

UNDER 10’S RED DIVISION
FC Chippenham got off the mark with their first win after running out 2-1 winners at home against Westbury Youth. Gareth Jones scored for Westbury.

UNDER 10’S YELLOW DIVISION

James Fisher (2), Daniel Bingham (2), Sarah Gee and Stuart Lindsay all scored for Warminster Highbury in their 6-0 home win against Trowbridge Town Pumas.

UNDER 11’S BLUE DIVISION

Trowbridge Town and Castle Combe Colts played in pretty miserable conditions and as the match started the fog rolled in. The weather failed to affect the match's intensity as Town opened with a barrage of shots against the Castle Combe goal and continued their assault for most of the game Combe's keeper Harry Hoyle did very well to limit Trowbridge who ran out eventual 6-2 winners. Luke Murden (2), Jordan Bryant (2), Nathan Cockram (1) and Will Mather (1) scored for Trowbridge with Louie Baker and Josh Hard replying for Combe. Combe named Harry Hoyle man-of-the-match for his outstanding goalkeeping throughout the match.

Devizes Town Youth took a 2-1 lead at the break against home side Trowbridge Wanderers. Wanderers brought the game level with a second from Cameron Doddington before Devizes netted two late goals to finish 4-2 winners.

Warminster Highbury finish this half of the season six points clear at the top of the table with one game in hand following their home game against Trowbridge Town Youth Cougars. Goals from Jason Mundy, Jamie Denton, Louis Thompson, Reece Smith, Luke Love, Steven Matthews, Evan Coleing and Jack Conway secured Highbury a 10-0 victory.

UNDER 11’S GREEN DIVISION
AFC Calne and home side AFC Corsham Jaguars cancelled each other out with a 1-1 final score.

UNDER 11’S ORANGE DIVISION
Club rivals Bradford Town Youth Whites and Bradford Town Youth Blues played out a one sided game with the Whites netting twenty-two with no reply. Duncan Burnside (5), Nathan King (3), Daniel Bright (2), Charlie Clarke (2), Paul Eaton (2), Billy Pearce (2), George White (2), Sam Pugh (2), Tony McElhone and Will Brimson all scored for the Whites.

Derry Hill United remain unbeaten after running out 10-3 winners at home to Worton & Cheverell.

UNDER 11’S RED DIVISION

A very cold foggy morning didn’t stop the spectators from turning out to see Melksham Park entertain Marshfield at King George V playing fields. Park were caught in the opening twelve minutes and conceded an early goal through a penetrating Marshfield attack down the left hand side of play. Eight minutes later Park's Ross Challice slotted home to get back on level terms quickly followed up by another instinctive strike from Joe Clayton. Just prior to the break Tamin Ibrihim bagged the third to make it 3-1. Half way through the second period Jamie Webber got a sight on goal and put away number four. Marshfield continued to compete well and had a great effort denied later in the dying minutes by the great goalkeeping of Kieran Lucas who kept the final score to 4-1 at the final whistle.

UNDER 11’S YELLOW DIVISION
Home side Malmesbury Youth had plenty of missed chances and were denied by some great goal keeping from visitors Chippenham Town Youth but were happy to settle for their one goal first half advantage through Tim Fry to take all three points.

UNDER 12’S BLUE DIVISION
In a competitive game which saw some excellent football from both sides Trowbridge Town Youth Wasps took the three points with an impressive second half performance against Trowbridge Town Youth Wildcats. A first half goal from Alex de Silva saw the Wasps lead 1-0 at the break against a Wildcats team who worked very hard and never allowed the Wasps to settle. The second half started with Joshua Moss scoring a well taken goal to settle the Wasps nerves before Jack Miluk added to their lead with de Silva hitting the net twice more before the final whistle to complete his hat-trick. Special mention should go to the Wildcats particularly goalkeeper Tim Wilson for a determined and spirited game.

Trowbridge Wanderers and Devizes Town Youth played an exciting match in which both teams played in an attacking manner. Devizes took the lead on four minutes with an own goal with Wanderers equalising on the half time whistle with a vicious right foot strike from the edge of the box from Liam Smart. After the break Daniel Ralph regained the lead for Devizes scoring a good break-away goal. Devizes could have furthered their lead but were denied by some brave goalkeeping from man of the match Ben Howlett. Wanderers created good opportunities and Tom Berryman scored with a stunning left foot strike to level the tie and finish the game off at 2-2.

UNDER 12’S GREEN DIVISION

White Horse Juniors and Chippenham Town Youth enjoyed a close game played in great spirit and for the first forty minutes the result could have gone either way. The final quarter of the game saw White Horse break through netting three with one reply to take all the points. Max Bush scored two for White Horse with Callum Horne heading home from a superb cross. Horne was named man-of-the-match for his excellent work rate in defence.

AFC Corsham took a 4-0 lead at the break against visitors Bradford Town Youth before going on to finish 8-1 winners. Ryan Godridge (2), Mel King (2), Lee Rogers, Mike Marshall, George Williams and Joe Lye scored for Corsham.

Worton and Cheverell narrowed the gap on division leaders Amesbury Juniors to just two points following their 5-0 home win against Chippenham Town Rangers.

UNDER 12’S RED DIVISION

Larkhall Athletic remain top of the table after running out 12-1 winners against Pewsey Vale. Larkhall started strongly going 3-0 up after fifteen minutes with goals from Josh Ayres, Ryan Farrington and Joseph Battrick. Pewsey were back in the game at 3-1 but were denied further goals by good goal keeping from Josh Ridewood. Larkhall stepped up their pace taking their lead to 6-1 before the break with a second from Battrick and two great strikes from Zak Leakey both from outside the box. The second half was dominated by Larkhall with their defence rarely troubled and superbly marshalled by Josh Box and Ricky Turner. . Further goals followed at regular intervals from Ginny Davies, Matteo Sunda, Jake Toogood, Ryan Farrington, and Leon Reid before a fine solo goal wrapped up Battricks hat-trick for a 12-1 final score.

A hat-trick from Nathan Osbaldeston with singles from James Knott, Russell Decarteret and William Gredington gave Trowbridge Wanderers a 6-1 home win against Melksham Park Youth.

UNDER 13’S GREEN DIVISION
A top of the table clash between leaders Pewsey Vale and Warminster Highbury saw Highbury take all the points with a 4-0 final score. Joe Dufosee Allie Rose and Chikiah Douglas scored for Highbury.

UNDER 14’S BLUE DIVISION
Lydiard FC ran out 4-2 winners away to Team Bath Arsenal with Jordan Marchant scoring a well placed header and a rasping shot for Team Bath.
Trowbridge Town Youth dropped their first points of the season after running out level against home side Devizes Town Youth. Kieran Chivers put Devizes ahead but Trowbridge were back level within two minutes. The game could have gone either way but neither could make a difference in the second half finishing the game level at 1-1.
FC Chippenham move up into second place on goal difference after running out 7-0 winners away to Warminster United Youth.
UNDER 14’S GREEN DIVISION
Bemerton Heath Harlequins took a 1-0 lead at the break in their home game against Trowbridge Wanderers. The second half saw Wanderers pull out all the stops to take the lead before going on to finish 4-3 winners. Lewis Hope, Charlie Young and Sam Marr scored for Bemerton.

Frome Town manager Andy Crabtree had a miserable day in the cup at Bournemouth on Saturday but went home all smiles after his under 14’s Warminster Highbury side ran out 9-0 winners at home to Worton & Cheverell. Craig Sheppard (3), Jamie Airey (2), Joe Martin (2), Kieran Delaney and Stuart Lisowski all scored for Highbury.

UNDER 14’S RED DIVISION
Home side AFC Calne and Langford United drew a blank in the first halt but three second half strikes from Michael Gratton, Jamie Johns and Aaron Hopkins gave Calne the game at 3-0.

Castle Combe Colts enjoyed their second win of the season so far after running out 4-0 winners at home to Bradford Town Youth. The Colts saw a hat trick from Sam Scott and one from David Heath.

A hat trick from Lee Marshall saw visitors AFC Corsham on their way to a 5-1 win against Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds. Corsham also saw goals from Jake Lock and James May with James Griffiths replying for Trowbridge.

UNDER 15’S BLUE DIVISION
Devizes manager Mark Surman named his entire team man-of-the-match for their outstanding team performance against Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds. In very foggy conditions Devizes were on top from the start with attacking play and stout defending to run out eventual 7-1 winners. Special praise went to Devizes keeper Matty Tilley who even managed to save a penalty late in the game. Jacob Wrobel (4), Lee Fielding (2) and Jack Hopper scored for Devizes.

Trowbridge Town Youth move into joint first place with Salisbury City following their away game against Melksham Town Youth. Trowbridge took a 2-0 lead at the break before going on to finish 6-0 winners. Kurt Hammond, Liam Flowers (2), Tom Bonser (2) and Stuart Greener scored for Trowbridge. Roger Letherby refereed the game superbly.

UNDER 15’S RED DIVISION
South Newton & Wishford took an early lead in their home game against White Horse Juniors after the visitors had missed two good chances. An equaliser mid-way through was the first of four goals for Dan Hayes. South Newton regained the lead before going on to lead 3-1 but a perfectly converted penalty saw White Horse back in the game at 3-2 before the interval. South Newton had most of the possession in the second half but rarely threatened the White Horse goal. Dan Hays brought the game level before finishing with a fourth to steal the game in the final minutes.

Chippenham Town Youth ran out 4-2 winners away to Amesbury Juniors 1st’s with new signing Jack Gentle netting both goals for Amesbury.

The game between home side Bradford Town Youth and FC Chippenham was abandoned at half time due to the foggy conditions.

Castle Combe Colts took a 2-1 lead at the break in their home game against Amesbury Juniors 2nds before going on to finish 3-2 winners. Toby Moore (2) and Arthur Richardson scored for Combe with Andrew Wright and James Wright replying for Amesbury.

UNDER 16’S BLUE DIVISION
Chippenham Town Youth move up into second place, six points behind leaders Trowbridge Town Youth and with three games in hand following their 6-0 home win against Melksham Town Youth. Chippenham saw goals from Jake Pegler, Ross McCance, Craig Fisher and a hat trick from Liam Brown.

In a very closely fought game home side FC Chippenham put up a great fight against division leaders Trowbridge Town Youth. Trowbridge took a narrow 1-0 lead at the break going on lead 2-0 shortly after the re-start. Pete Tye put Chippenham back in the game with a great debut goal. Trowbridge took their lead to 3-1 before Chippenham narrowed the divide to 3-2 through Sam Bliss setting up a tense last ten minutes for Trowbridge. Trowbridge held out taking all the points with a 3-2 final score. Tom Parr, Liam Milburn and Jonathan Davies scored for Trowbridge. The game was refereed well by Pete Cox.

Home side Devizes Blues held Salisbury City to a 0-0 score line for sixty-five minutes when Simon Beaven netted the winner for Salisbury.

Warminster Highbury earned their first point of the season so far after a very intense game against visitors Westbury Youth. Neither side could make a difference in the first half leading to a 0-0 score line. Westbury broke the deadlock but Highbury brought the game level with an equaliser from Sam Martin ending the game all square at 1-1.

UNDER 16’S RED DIVISION
Melksham Town Youth 2nds continue to dominate this division following their 11-2 home win against Castle Combe Colts. Ross Menghini (3), Rob Manning (2), Liam Richards (2), Jack Adcock (2), Joe Flower and Jamie Higdon all scored for Melksham.

Pewsey Vale took a 2-0 lead into the second half of their home game against Worton & Cheverell. Worton matched Pewsey goal for goal in the second half but their first half advantage saw Pewsey eventual 4-2 winners. Mikial Kinevini (2), Jack Barrow and Gary Powell scored for Pewsey.

UNDER 17’S BLUE DIVISION
A combative game in difficult conditions saw home side Westbury Youth take all three points against division leaders Salisbury City. Nathan Hallett scored for Westbury.

Home side Chippenham Town Youth enjoyed the majority of possession against visitors Marlborough Town but a defensive performance from Marlborough limited Chippenham’s chances with the home side taking the game at 1-0. Gary Lock scored for Chippenham.
