Tornadoes and severe storms affected Wisconsin and Minnesota on Thursday with some reported damage and power cuts.

This tornado was captured in New Richmond, Wisconsin where tornado warnings were in force from the National Weather Service.

The line of severe storms moves north-east into Canada but a new round of severe weather is expected on Friday.

Severe thunderstorm watches are in place for millions across the mid-Mississippi, Tennessee and Ohio Valleys.

Tornadoes, large hail and flash flooding and strong winds are possible.

The US Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk for severe thunderstorms in the Lower Ohio Valley, with large populated areas such as St Louis, Louisville, Indianapolis, Clarksville, Memphis and Paducah included.

This is where there is the greatest concern for several strong tornadoes developing on Friday afternoon and into the night.
