Sarah Keith-Lucas grew up in rural East Sussex, where her interest in the weather was first sparked by an enthusiastic geography teacher.
She later went on to study Geography at Durham University, taking particular interest in meteorology and climate change.
After graduating she spent two winter seasons working in the French Alps and indulging a passion for snow sports.
Sarah joined the Met Office in 2007 and completed her forecaster training at the Met Office College before going on to work as a weather forecaster at the Exeter headquarters.
Sarah gained a lot of experience during her time with the Met Office in Exeter, ranging from producing weather forecasts for supermarkets and airports, to sampling the surf on the beaches of Devon.
She then joined the BBC Weather team in 2008 as a broadcast assistant before going on to train as a broadcast meteorologist.
Her first TV appearance was in the summer of 2009 and you will now find Sarah regularly presenting across the BBC.
Outside of work, Sarah lists her interests as travelling, camping, larking about in boats and enjoying the great outdoors.
