
On Tuesday 2nd November 2010, top Welsh chef Bryn Williams talked about his love of British pears and gave us his recipe for British Pear Tart Tartin.
Bryn Williams' British Pear Tart Tartin
Ingredients:
4 British Pears
70g Sugar
70g Unsalted Butter
100g Puff Pastry
Method:
Preheat Oven to 160ºC / 325ºF / Gas Mark 3
Peel, core and quarter the pears and leave in the fridge overnight to dry out.
In an 8inch pan evenly cover the pan with the butter then with the sugar.
Arrange the pears on the bottom of the pan.
Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 3mm and make sure it covers the pears.
Place the puff pastry over the pears, any exes tuck in between the pears and the pan.
Place the pan on a medium heat for 5-6 minutes the place in the oven for 40minites or until ready.
